Most teams have some work or effort they are engaged in designed to give back to the community. At Instep Management Group, engaging in philanthropy is important enough that we include it in our regular goal-setting meetings. We want everyone on our team to have a chance to give back, so we do these things to help them get involved:
- Support Causes as a Team: We sit down together to talk about what causes we want to support and how we think we can make the biggest impact. Everyone has different interests, so we take turns supporting each other’s favorite causes. When we know something matters to one of our team members, it’s more likely to matter to everyone else as well.
- Let Them Use Their Skills: Everyone has different talents, so letting team members leverage their skills when giving back can be a great way to offer more to the local charity we’re supporting. It can also help associates build leadership skills or simply do something they enjoy.
- Make It Part of the Work Day: Rather than expecting our team to volunteer on their own time, Instep Management Group includes volunteer time in our work day. We work together to accomplish the project and are happier and more creative as a result.
